After beating Golden Sun: The Lost Age a couple weeks ago, it's time to reveal our new Sunday game. After a special request (and Christmas gift) I'll be playing Stray this Sunday at the usual time.
2/1 - Split Fiction - What's better. Sci-Fi or Fantasy? Well I certainly have my preference. Split Fiction had my interest from its first trailer and I just knew I had to play it.. Last year I got with a friend to play the game with him as the Sci-Fi author Mio and me as the Fantasy author Zoe.

1/31 - Mario Kart 64 - Let's close out our first month of favorite games with the first racing game I ever played, Mario Kart 64. I wasn't very good at it when I first played it, but it was fun getting to race against the other kids in my after school program while we waited for out parents.

1/30 - The Legend of Dragoon - Imagine returning to your hometown after years away to find it being attacked by the empire. Also dragons. Also hey look now you can use dragon powers and fly. That's neat! Welp time to go rescue our childhood friend! It's a simple formula, but it works.

1/29 - Live-A-Live - Imagine an RPG where each chapter focuses on a different character with their own distinct setting and genre and then you have one final chapter that pulls them into one unified ending. That's Live-A-Live. In a way, this game feels to me almost like a prototype for Octopath.

1/28 - Yakuza 0 - I didn't know how I was going to feel about these games at first. But the more I played the more I got sucked in. The characters, the combat, and (most of) the side content were all fantastic and I've since started the journey to play through all the rest of them.

1/27 - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Ah, I do love me a good mystery. And in the case of Phoenix Wright, we've got five. The Phoenix Wright games are always fun. Plenty of mystery to be had as you have to prove not only did your client not murder the Victim-of-the-Day, but find the true culprit!

1/26 - Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus - I am no fan of stealth gameplay, and to be fair I merely watched my brother play the game, but Sly Cooper is an incredibly game and series. You start with a band of childhood friends turned thieves with one of them part of an ancient legacy of thieves.

1/26 - Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus - I am no fan of stealth gameplay, and to be fair I merely watched my brother play the game, but Sly Cooper is an incredibly game and series. You start with a band of childhood friends turned thieves with one of them part of an ancient legacy of thieves.
1/25 - Yu-Gi-Oh! Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel - Of all the traditional Yu-Gi-Oh games, this one is far and away my favorite. There's not really a "story" to speak of. You just travel around to different areas of Battle City and duel whoever happens to be there at the moment.

1/24 - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 - When I was bored and didn't want to play a longer game on PS1, Pro Skater 2 is one of the games I'd boot up to just play around in a bit. I wasn't the greatest at it, but I had fun just skating around, jumping on and off rails, and crashing. A lot. But it was fun!

Rain Code starts off with a case of missing identity (your own) and a summons to join a group of master detectives to help solve the Great Mystery. You've got (mostly) a good team of allies to help you out along the way

1/22 - Super Mario Maker - God I wish I was good at games where you just... make stuff. But regardless! Super Mario Maker was a shocking release by Nintendo. They're giving... us the power to make Mario levels? Astonishing. I only ever made two levels, neither were good.

1/21 - Jackbox Party Pack 3 - The Jackbox Party Packs are such a good idea. You get five great party games that you can play with friends online or in person and all anybody needs is a phone (though some games I say are better with a computer). Pack 3 has 4/5 winners in my opinion.

1/20 - Spider-Man (PS4) - I've played a few Spider-Man games, but the Insomniac ones are top notch. The game felt so good to play. The combat was fun, and even just swinging around the city for a few minutes felt relaxing. Starting with a Peter who was already into his hero journey was a good choice

1/19 - Metaphor: ReFantazio - If you like Persona/SMT, but are tired of the high school students and want a bit of Fantasy flair, I got good news for you. Metaphor is a really fun game that takes Persona's... personas, stats, and calendar system and mixes it into a fantasy setting with SMT combat.

1/18 - Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time - Superstar Saga gave us a new formula for a Mario RPG, and it's pretty good. So what did Partners in Time do? They took the formula of controlling the Mario Bros in battle, and doubled it by throwing in their baby selves!

Going live with just a little bit more of Stray! We finished the story last time, so now we're just hunting down the last of the Memories that we missed. Once that's done we're getting back into our Pokemon Blue Nuzlocke!
1/17 - Left 4 Dead 2 - One of the very few games I bought on the 360. Left 4 Dead 2 is an exception to my rule about shooter games. It's co-op multiplayer with just you against the CPU. Running through only a limited amount of levels, but the game is able to make it so that each run is different.

1/14 - Tales of Vesperia - Of the Tales games I've played/watched, Vesperia is by far my favorite. I enjoy the characters and how the plot isn't just anchored around some big "gotta save the world" storyline. It's more of a journey with a group of people that get into problems along the way.
