I wish! Maybe if someone decent would get elected, we would have a lot fewer people in this country who are starving or freezing. Yeah, we can't get help with fuel, or food, right now.

I do this. I intend to survive until I get to read it. I don't feel one bit guilty. He stole the money that I (and many others) need for fuel. So, I'll keep looking for that.

Tomorrow morning I go to the food bank at a Catholic church. (Which is embarrassing enough). I'll ask them about fuel assistance. I hate doing it but I need heat! It's 35f (1.66C) right now.
Thank you for the suggestion, I didn't know churches did that. And thanks for caring.

They've already been working to stop people from voting. Maybe some Democrats and Independants need to make sure they are watching them. They send people to the polls to 'make sure no one's cheating'. We need to do the same.

They'd lose their minds. I think that would bring a world of hurt down on those not paying. Something else Trump could call an emergency and send troops to get it. I never thought I'd see a day when our military was turned on American Citizens. Insanity is in power now.

Every time one of those so-called Christians start spouting off I just ask them what does the bible say about how we are to treat others? How about how we're supposed to treat those less fortunate in life?

There aren't a lot of services where I live. It's very rural here. I'm looking into one I found and looking for more. So far, nothing. Not senior enough, I'm 58. Makes me angry because I worked my butt off all my life, and now that I'm disabled, I'm considered worthless. It's frustrating!

Hard to believe people starving and living without heat and basic needs is happening in the USA. All while Trump blows billions on his vanity projects.

Since when has that stopped him? He's losing court cases left and right yet just keep on with the destruction. He appeals all the way to HIS supreme court and they let him win. No one has stopped him, yet.

Helping is a nice thought, but reality doesn't work that way. Right now, I have no heat, because emergency fuel didn't get funded. That is a very bad thing when you live in northern Maine. Who do you think is going to help me? No one is. What now?

Every single member of Congress should be fired. They are doing nothing for the people who voted for them. No one is stopping this.

Some of us are going without heat because of the shutdown. That's elderly, disabled, low income families who need fuel. I have no fuel and no way to buy it. We depend on fuel assistance and the emergency fuel. I have no one to ask for help. So we're not only hungry, we're cold too.

These are the things that need to get out to the general public. Not pictures of the White House being made to look like some weird sleazy bar.
I hope none of the children were harmed. What an awful thing to do close to kids!

I'm sitting here smiling about the election results. I'm also really cold, because no one thought to send money for emergency fuel before shutting down. I'm sure others on Social Security are facing the same thing. I just hope no one dies.

This is a good start, but don't get complacent. Imo, that was how we lost to Trump and his Trumpanzees. Keep the pressure on! Continue the boycotts. People are unhappy with the shutdown and the gaudy mess being made of our White House. Capitalize on that! Stay strong and be safe!
