I get released from the hospital in a day or 2. I will keep this pic in mind as I recover. It’ll take months, but eventually I expect to be back to dancing my purple butt off. There are too many hugs to give, too much dancing to do, too much life to live. :) #FursuitFriday

2/2) I expect to be recuperating over the next 4 weeks & I hope to be recovered enough to make it to BLFC! I’m in good hands, w/ an expert surgeon & friends caring for me post surgery. Y’all have fun at AFC, & I’ll catch you on the flip side. Love to you all. :)

For those that don’t know: I’m having open heart surgery in a couple days, to repair a faulty heart valve. It’s NOT an emergency; I’ve had this planned for months.(It’s not a coincidence that I scheduled this AFTER Burning Man! :) ). Surgery is this Friday,& I will be off line over the weekend.(1/2)

Despite the weather, I still had a great time at Burning Man! Difficult conditions are part of it. :) Here’s a giraffe art car with flaming ossicones. Because of course they would flame. :)

At the height of the dust/wind storm at Burning Man, I was holding on to a vertical support of our shade structure to keep it from flying away. @wizzywigg.bsky.social was filming me from 10 ft away, barely visible, holding on to another support. Sometimes there is nothing else to do but laugh. :)

Whew! After 11 hrs of holiday traffic, finally made it home from Burning Man yesterday afternoon. Had my glorious 1st shower, ate dinner &crawled into bed at 8pm, slept for 6 hrs. This Burn was a hard one, with a raging wind/dust storm and 3 days of rain. Still had a great time!

It’s that time of the year again! Heading out to the playa for Burning Man! Full truck is full! I’ll be completely off grid from mid-day tomorrow till I come back on 9/1 (Labor Day). And yes, that is purple fur on my playa bike! Been that way since before I found the fandom! :)
