text: Whether stemming from interest in violence and stories or the need to understand criminal behaviour, narrating true crime has become an industry in and of itself. We would like to create a platform to discuss various ways of historicising, contextualising, and rewriting true crime across the media and further understanding regarding the ways in which true crime narratives are deployed. same background: a typewriter and a mug in front of a mock crime board

the ethics of representing true crime
adapting and reinterpreting true crime
(de)mythologising perpetrators
the criminal-detective dynamic
