❌Never managed in one of Europe's top 5 leagues.
❌Never really managed relegation contenders.
❌Doesn't stay at a club for more than a year and a half on average.

I can only imagine the frustration as this unfolded, culminating in what is a pretty bleak season. I hope they stay up and if there’s any silver lining.. there is technically still time. Over half the season to go.

I think that’s really fair. The criticism is obviously there for him, but to take the side from where they were after Lopetegui decided they weren’t enough was quite impressive.

In the end I think he got found out and possibly lacked the experience to bounce after the poor run.

While letting O’Neil go was seemingly the only choice, their problems are much deeper rooted.

The playing squad (especially in defense) is arguably not PL standard.

Selling major players with minimal investment is catching up with them now. Hard to see them survive this season. 40 GA in 16🤯

FFP is also an issue considering the spending they did a few years ago, that + some misses like Fabio Silva and quickly you’re taking steps to not fall behind further rather than progress.

Unfortunately it looks like the writing is on the wall for Gary O’Neil and this Wolves side.

The quality isn’t there, there isn’t enough going forwards to paper over the cracks, even though Cunha is doing his best.

Now that this has come to an end and the investigation has concluded.

It's important to move on and leave David Coote alone, he clearly needs help and its important to allow him to get the help he needs in private.

Hopefully he's allowed to do that. Some things are more important than football.
