#wipwednesday for an #ageofcalamity #zelink fic. Rhoam has enough of Link and Zelda tiptoeing around each other and takes matters into his own hands.
"It's been five years, Impa! They're clearly incapable of figuring it out on their own and I'm no longer watching this misery." He glanced at the shop window of the bakery and tugged the fabric in place again. "I cannot keep away the noblemen from her forever. They're already raising their eyebrows when I tell them we can't have balls and tea parties. It's hard to convince them that we don't have the financial means to organize pompous social gatherings when we are easily able to effort an over-sized greenhouse for Zelda's botanical studies." Impa hummed and dipped a cookie into her tea. "A little rivalry could spice things up, don't you think? Maybe he's going to make his move when he sees others wooing her. Good old jealousy." "I tell you what's going to happen. Link will grow into a pillar of stone that is shaped like a royal guard, stand at the wall in the ballroom, and talk himself out of laying eyes on her ever again." Rhoam shook his head.
