I'm trying to increase my reach here so I can promote videos like I did on Twitter.

My reach is smaller here, but (even putting my opinions on Elon Musk aside) Twitter is just so awful to use now.

If you subscribe to me on YouTube, make sure you follow me here too! Any RTs are appreciated!

I've never found a way to conquer this feeling. You've just got to publish and move on, as much as it sucks - no video will ever be perfect, it'll always have issues in your eyes. Instead of spending time wishing you could change it, work on the next one!

Silly post. Veganism and not hurting animals is a strong enough ideology that it doesn't need to be supported by misinformation. There's no evidence that non human animals cry tears for the same reasons we do.

I'm not far enough in to say for sure... but it could well be honestly. It's amazing.

I haven't seen either actor in anything before, but just based on appearance, I think this is absolutely stellar casting for Link and Zelda. Really happy that they're not A-list actors too.

That's a bit far for sure- it hasn't killed the game for me; I'll still be playing it when I have friends over, but removing the option for normal laps online was a really bad move imo. There are many people who dislike World's intermission track design, and just want normal laps on the tracks

Knockout Tour is amazing but it's definitely not "trademark" Mario Kart, I think it's absolutely fair for people to want the option of normal laps on the tracks

But we create cows by artificially breeding them, they wouldn't exist if we didn't do that, and we don't need them for our survival. We can eat food that is less environmentally (and ethically) problematic.

It's not "food production" I have an issue with, it's animal agriculture specifically

This just can't be true- a cow drinks anywhere from 15 to 30 gallons a day. 600 gallons wouldn't even be its drinking water for a month, let alone the water used to grow its feed crops, where it is kept, slaughtered, packaged, etc etc.

Less factory farming for livestock like cattle as compared to the US, but still a lot of it for chickens, pigs, etc.

Not to downplay the environmental side of things though! It's bizarre how many people are so angry about, say, the environmental impact of LLMs, while being completely blind to the impact of their food choices.

AI has a litany of its own issues, but its water use compared to animal ag is tiny.

While climate change is a strong reason to consider veganism, I believe the ethical reasons are more important.

Most people reading this will consider themselves to be animal lovers, but (if they eat meat) won't willingly watch footage of where their food comes from.

If you're concerned about climate change, consider going vegan, or at least reducing your meat consumption. It's really a lot easier than you think, and it is one of, if not the single, most impactful change you can make as an individual!

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

Ahhh, I really don't think I liked 28 Years Later, as much as that pains me to say. The first act is truly fantastic, but it falls off quite quickly afterwards, and I thought the ending was just terrible. I was so excited for it! :(

Not really sure what you're trying to say here, but I'm sure you understand that people have their own totally subjective opinions on things. Mine's that Mario Kart World's open world brings down my experience with the game - you're entitled to your own.

Yeah, and that's great. I'm talking more about Grand Prix and online here. I think the actual races on the actual tracks are absolutely amazing, I'm just not a fan of the "between" bits

Yeah, couch multiplayer is still really good, since you can guarantee you'll get full tracks every time. Online is more difficult - you have to pick Random to guarantee a 3 lap tack, or occasionally pick the full ones when they show up.

So I'm loving Mario Kart World, but not as much as I loved 8 or Wii on launch. The driving mechanics are great, but the abundance of "between" tracks really, really brings the whole thing down. I'm having fun, but the open world aspect is a huge miss imo.

I do love the little hop boost move MK World has introduced - it lets you pull off all kinds of mini shortcuts without a mushroom!
