We have a time of use tariff, solar, batteries, EV.
For 2024, our entire energy costs for the house and running the car were under £700
With extra storage, I can get that down quite a bit.

Actually advertised it for a price to ward off freeloaders, and make sure it went to someone who appreciated it.

It’s possibly a national mindset that those of us in Europe shouldn’t try to understand, because we won’t.
Having said that, cars here are getting far bigger than they need to be as well.
The Hyundai Ioniq 6 I drive would once have been thought of as behemoth.

It’s great what people can achieve in the absence of a dissenting voice telling them “it can’t be done”.
Also, much as I’m now a committed EV driver, I love the sound of a triple.
