NC Hop: My copium was Extend Range or Expand Sync but he got the boosts he wanted. Hop's Gauntlet record is about to go crazy.

SS Lear: Sure just make him the most broken Special enabler in the game. You can slot Lear with ANY B-move nuke and it'd be valid.

Aura Cynthia: Mixed bag. The WTZ extension is marvelous and stacks with her Tower Cookie for absurd uptime. What bothers me is the 4/5 tile. Cynthia has the ramping for bursts, but she wanted Vigilance + offensive debuffs because her backbone is a bit dated.

Hugh: Solid on paper, but about as pointless as Nate's expansion when you examine Hugh's playstyle. Standfast 5 x2 still chops off too much health. Fierce Entry 2 doesn't help in Gauntlet because Hugh wants the TM MPR to buff Atk AND defenses. More like Eugh.

Aaand this is the reason Lacey's timing could not be worse. TL Piers is an accessible answer to those pesky Tower status floors, where Dark-types struggle otherwise. Piers paid attention during Event Oak's lectures. He has a dominant Special match-up with Staggering to boot.

Lacey was designed as a Tower response in the face of SSA Giovanni (status + Sp.Atk aggregation). Lacey is similar to Mai except she hard-steers into offense at the cost of party sustain. I was hoping the +2050 sync BP was real to give her more purpose lol.

A rich man's Academy Brendan; the similarities are mind-boggling. Bad Poison is odd but constitutes numbers in later Tower floors (although Water-types don't necessarily struggle with status infliction). Team Condition Nullification and sync acceleration are nice commodities to have.

Chili is a solid physical option above OG Silver because he do be Extend Ranging. My gut tells me to drop Chili a tier despite his utilities. His kit outline is similar to SS Nemona... theoretically not the best look. He also has to compete with TCG Ethan on select scouts.

You guys are having me defend a fucking Variety kit. Yeah Cilan has selfish recovery, the funny Tech EX and he is geared to assist his brothers rather than Grass as a whole, but he ALSO has valuable perks in Team Vigilance, constant Circle uptime and multiple debuffs. He is okay man.

What if DC Nemona was a Poké Fair? Perrin is phenomenal but Anniversary Gloria is so broken Rock-types don't need EX Zone. Either way Perrin packs tons of utility and the Extend Range finisher helps her keep up. Benga is envious of this level of sauce.

Mai continues the "one-size-fits-all" Support trend that became apparent with SC Larry. Supports need 3 things to not cost progress: WTZ, Flinch and offensive debuffs. Mai sweetens the deal with the Summer Cynthia cheese and an insane extension for a scuffed type. She is a meta pull.

This woman has so many issues she deserves the honor of another post: average statline, no broken B-move, no Extend Range, no simultaneous MUN stacking, but most important of all is the Special sync. DeNA pushed cohesion with Pal Marley when Adaman needed Arezu more.

It's easy to draw the Palentine's Erika comparison, but something that's often lost in the discussion is the fact Arezu needs 10/5 to edge out 3/5 Erika. TEN. FIVE. Arezu has better burst capacity, sure, but Erika can Flinch and has Piercing Blows. Arezu's value is questionable.
