fucked up info I just realized is that sakurai only likes making city trial/smash run like game modes every 11 years
an image showing Kirby Air Ride being released on July 11, 2003 vs Smash 3DS (which had a gamemode super similar to city trial from air ride) being released on September 13, 2014- being 4,082 days apart an image showing Smash 3D's smash run that was released September 13, 2014 vs Kirby Air Riders being released on November 20, 2025- being 4,086 days apart, meaning that smash 3ds came out closer to the original air ride than it is closer to releasing to kirby air riders coming out.
