We must never forget Lamar Jackson has the worst immune system in pro football. Maybe pro sports.
Think he’s due another bout of flu soon.

Lamar Jackson taking the field on Thanksgiving night against the Bengals with a hamstring, knee, and toe injury.

I knew this would come up at some point. Facing much better competition later in the season could lead to a numbers decline but JJMCs were sharp. 4 TDs in 7 games, major drop in comp% by a top-10 pick the next year is almost unheard of, even if facing top B10/SEC opponents.

It’s fair to question.
It takes 15 seconds to look up who they played before and after. UNLV and Nebraska are definitely the same thing as playing Ohio State and Alabama

This graphic I just came across on the other site is insane. The 2023 JJ McCarthy stats before and after Connor Stallions’ resignation are insane.

The graphic only shows the last five games but he played seven games after Stallions resigned. Michigan State was game 8 of the before sample.

“Is Bryce Young bad,” you ask?

Allow me to answer your question with a question:

How many first half points did he lead his team to when his defense forced three interceptions?

Lamar Jackson, who claims injuries are not slowing him down, has rushed for 25-71-0 (2.8 YPC) since returning from a hamstring injury. Color me skeptical.

There are football writers working harder today to figure out when J.J. McCarthy may have suffered a concussion in Week 12 than there are members of Congress working to stop illegal bombings in the middle of the ocean. Which is nice.

The Raiders always have that one guy who looks like he'd be more than happy to take you out back if you can't agree on the split for a rigged poker game.
November 24, 2025 at 7:33 PM
Every game has been disastrous, so maybe it's just confirmation bias here. But it's weird that J.J. McCarthy has twice been injured this season, and both times, nobody suspected it. It's almost like...

Dillon Gabriel attempted eight deep passes (20+ air yards) this season in eight games.

In 1.5 games, Shedeur Sanders has attempted seven deep passes.

Coaches are typically gonna love the guy willing to take those chances.

If a "Mark Andrews week" were ever to exist again, it might be on Thursday night against a Bengals team that just allowed a combined 10-154-1 on 14 targets to Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper.

Nothing says "shines" like the second-lowest dropback success rate (23.8%) of any QB in a win this season, and a 66-yard touchdown pass that came on a throw with a -5.0 ADOT.
November 24, 2025 at 1:41 PM
Among 24 Week 12 QBs so far (min. 10 dropbacks), Shedeur Sanders' dropback success rate (23.8%) ranked 24th.

Behind J.J. McCarthy, who was not good (again), and Geno Smith, who was not good and took 10 sacks.

Almost seems impossible.

Note: J.J. McCarthy's EPA/dropback was ungodly bad this week.
Just absolutely disastrous for the discourse.

Looking forward to somehow being gaslit for a week about how Shedeur Sanders looked good in a humdrum outing in what feels like an obvious win for the Browns today. Like for later.

Derrick Henry rushed for 21-64-2 today. Another inefficient afternoon.

On non-scoring runs since Week 8, among 24 RBs with ≥ 50 rushes, Henry ranks:

22nd in success rate: 42.7%
14th in EPA/play: -0.08

It's been brutal, folks.

Okay, quit playing around. Let Keaton Mitchell cook.

Whenever it ends, the one thing I will always remember about the John Harbaugh era for the Ravens is their ability to play down to some of the absolute worst teams every year.
