I'm not sure what I'm doing here...I think I took a wrong turn somewhere. I review anime on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@znotetakureviews9138 And I'm on AniList: http://anilist.co/user/ZNote/

I am waiting for the day that I can spring this on someone's waifu art lol
Satoshi Kon’s passing was an incalculable loss to anime - no one had such an implicit understanding of the mind as a labyrinth like he did. Reality and perception bent to his whim, and he absorbed us every step of the way.

Mariana trusted Kon, and Kon delivered every time.
Satoshi Kon would have turned 62 today ;_;

poster assignment I drew a few weeks ago!
@tobleh.bsky.social you’ll know it when you see it
So we will have 4 elimination games tomorrow

Tigers-Mariners at 3 ET
Cubs-Brewers at 5 ET
Yankees-Jaya at 7 ET
Dodgers-Phillies at 9 ET
That’s likely a reference to Freddy Schuman, a decades-spanning fan who brought a pan to games and wanted people to hit it for “good luck.” He passed away in 2010, so I imagine fans want to keep his tradition going.
It is in fact possible to talk about a lot of anime for more than 15 seconds at a time!

This was a mistake...a fun mistake, but a mistake nonetheless lol.

In typical Aaron Boone fashion, he got outmanaged because he had a gamescript that he wasn't going to deviate from. He took the bat out of Rice's hand, had asinine reasoning for taking out Fried, and swore by the "WeaverWilliamsBednar" battery because "that's the lane."

Wrote about the end of CITY: The Animation and how it once again raised the bar of brilliant animation, design, music, and sheer imagination to breathe life into Arawi's world. Many thoughts about an all-timer production & how it might connect to KyoAni's future blog.sakugabooru.com/2025/09/29/c...
Review of KyoAni's "CITY THE ANIMATION"

"When a piece of media vibrates at just the right frequency, it radiates warmth even in its moments that affectively “don’t work.”

Don’t forget freaky perverts!
(also known as otaku) :P
The more older stuff I see, the more the whole "I don't like how older anime looks" take gets worse and worse.

From: Toki no Tabibito: Time Stranger (1986)
Dir: Masaki Mori
Animation credit: Umetsu Yasuomi
Easy come, easy go 😂
When I started doing this years ago, I never would have thought I'd see 100 subs, let alone 1000!

Thank you to everyone who finds my content worth your time. Hopefully, I can keep up the good work moving forward :)

Adding to "these people really don't understand anything they pretend to be passionate about": Exhibit one million of people assuming that a writer in anime has orders of magnitude more decision power than they do. Forget the author's vetoing power, the director could stop anything before that check
We may be witnessing the dumbest controversy with Bocchi the Rock's series composer Erika Yoshida being attacked by the combined, stupid coalition of anti (made up) censorship warriors and adaptation purists who couldn't even spell the word Art if their life depended on it. Deeply embarrassing shit

About this Witch Hat Atelier vid: Anime projects (like anything with that big a scale & involving so many parties) can spend several years in talks before meaningful work is done, let alone before reaching a point where the production is regularly ongoing. The boundaries between those stages is hazy

Keiichi Arawi is an all-timer cartoonist, but episodes like #09 show CITY's team (including himself!) attempting to best him. The magnetizing effect of consecutive spreads becomes one (almost) single cut that draws you in just as much, even more packed with chaotic energy than it was before. Insane

Andrew Scott is a contemporary artist renowned for his bold "frame-breaking" creations, where characters in his paintings seem to penetrate through glass.

Through this unique creative approach, Scott explores themes of freedom, solitude, and resilience.

If you're going to review a show that has been done to death, actually offer something different for once.

The universe does not need YET ANOTHER review of "Your Lie in April" that talks about it as though it saved Christmas or ended world hunger.
