My colleagues at AFP dug into the misinformation firestorm that has engulfed pandas in the US, on loan from China. Not mentioned here is that the campaign has also spread to Malaysia and Singapore, where emotional pleas to send them home circulate on Facebook

Hi researchers! ILU. 🧪 Here is a #scicomm tip that's silly but weirdly useful.

When a journalist asks your field of study? We need "I'm an ecologist" or "neuroscientist" etc.

So "I'm in the ecology department but I really study host parasite interactions on evolutionary timescales..."
