I miss the 20 eps per seasons shows, I agree it’s not the most suitable for prestige shows but for more episodic shows (e.g. procedurals) where you spend a lot of time with the characters I think it’s perfect (the type of show that I like to call “living room tv”)

Going to take a wild guess that these lauded directors are going all in on using AI assets is actually an extremely egotistical vanity thing because if you remove all the other artists from the equation of filmmaking then you get to claim ownership of the movie as its sole artist and sole voice.

I like when you take that concept and take it a step further to “deeply unequipped person who just keeps getting put in situations/their ass handed to them and just goes fuckfuckfuck and might genuinely die in every scene.”

I do really appreciate that my brain's reaction to rejection is usually "ok so I'll instantly try again or try a different angle".

Just got a rejection for a short film I auditioned for, sat down and wrote a small one person monologue for myself to film.
