If you've been following this, then you know the surgeon we were originally working with kept rescheduling us over and over. We fired them recently and scheduled with a NEW surgeon. The surgery will be on the 10th! I will be staying with Spike full-time to help his recovery.

We got some supplies from the vet today that will let us keep him more comfortable than he was yesterday over the weekend. Even so, he'll likely be euthanized sometime next week.
Winter storm on the weekend I might have to put my dog down.....we can never get out of our driveway when there's ice....I never and I mean NEVER catch a break

It's easy for me to think "another year stuck in my house" and that isn't entirely untrue, but I did make progress in small, subtle ways, and I have to remember that that counts for something too.

I honestly don't remember the majority of 2025.. I mostly remember struggling with Spike's surgery recovery 😭 but! Ik I did meet new online friends and that was fun and meaningful :) I also made a lot of progress in terms of my mental health!
