I’m working on “living” with the fear. I have the desire to fix things immediately. Some things can’t be fixed, or can’t be fixed immediately. Sometimes you gotta live with it, especially things like these irrational fears of judgement. And the guilt. No one but me can make me feel less guilty.

Vet appointment tomorrow. I’m terribly scared for him and Mido. Stomach feels like a big black hole that sucks all the air out of me level scared.
I feel like I failed as a mom and that they’ll hate me for it. They were nothing but kind every time I went and this fear is, as per usual, irrational.

I know it’s not possible to do more, my fear and guilt are irrational. Another thing my egg donor caused. Another thing that’s impacting my life (and the life of the people I love) in a major way.
The rats come first. They always have to come first. I will crash and burn and they will come first.

Knowing he’s probably in pain and uncomfortable is so incredibly hard for me atm. I can’t do anything to help but give pain meds and wound washes. Both things he hates. I like to imagine that it helps and that’s why he’s starting to calm down more. I feel like a terrible person for not doing more.
