Once heard some senior staff boast about their department’s ‘diversity’. It was shocking: none of them looked like me, someone with coloured skin. I hope UK students aren’t being taught to equate ‘diversity’ with Western and Eastern Europeans alone.

No human being is illegal. Labelling people as illegal is dehumanising. And most importantly, free movement is part of human rights.
