You may be a stranger, but you're an inspiration too, and it'd suck if you did something fuck-off stupid that you can't undo now when you've suffered almost all the shit and are ready for the upswing. That'd be like working but not cashing in the check.

The legs contain some of the body's biggest arteries, and bone fragments can easily shatter if hit by a bullet and do all kinds of life threatening damage. I'm happy the guy who stopped the shooter doesn't need to live with having done that to someone. There's already too much damage done to people.

People have, in a lot of cases, grown up surrounded by endless, mass produced content, so now they expect hand drawn quality comics/animations made by individuals or small teams to keep the same pace as whole companies. They'll learn patience eventually, you just have fun with the process!

I think it's more important to take back religion from the right than to force queer people to choose between their beliefs and their identity. I know someone suggested pro-LGBTQ prayer circles to counter christo-fascist ones, and giving people a pro-LGBTQ interpretation of religious texts, etc?

I loved that she was portrayed as angry in one picture because trans girls are seemingly never allowed to be angry without losing their "feminine" social status and that kind of gendered gatekeeping is utter misogynistic bullshit. Both you and, by extension, her, are so real for that representation!

Coming from an academic viewpoint, it always feels so odd having to refer to "poc" in academic texts because it literally just translates to "white people" and "the others". It's so centered on white people being the "default setting" or "the norm".

Achieving your goals by 20 sounds awful cause you'd have 70-80 years of "I did it, now what?" to look forward to. Instead, focus on what you've achieved after only 2 years of legal adulthood and try to enjoy the journey. Hell, detour on your journey and make weird memories and questionable choices.

Spectacular as always, although perhaps a bit too spectacular for the other travellers on my train to remain unspoilered (especially the kids and the elderly) and followers of people who repost this might not be ready for this surprising them in their feeds either.

I'm imagining it. It's literally the most trivial problem (if you even feel dramatic enough to call it a "problem") I've ever heard of? Like yes, it would be neat if people took the extra time to crop pictures, and it IS rather easy, but not as easy as just ignoring a minor nuisance?

The real problem in the US is that it's practically an oligarchy pretending to be a democracy, and minorities of all kinds are being used as a distraction from that. We could be discussing fair pay and the minimum wage, or we could fall for it and insult minorities whom we don't know or understand.

It's sad seeing a whole generation of people whose online presence is devoted to making everyone's day as shitty as possible in exchange for a fleeting moment of dopamine. It's like the kids who threw erasers and yelled in class to get attention grew older but never grew up.
