AI hallucinations are not bugs—they are Tlönic artifacts. Ontological drift is inevitable as reality is administered by these systems. A gradual replacement of knowledge with well-ordered set of fictions embedded within our "trusted" information repositories. *Gulp*

I think about that story often.

I am deeply interested to learn about how these diehard trumpers handle the ontological shock of any incipient downfall. I’m worried I guess.

Contemplating the measurable structure of things often leads to fights in faculty lounges. This seems sadly relatable.

Recent beans convert. You do amazing things. Thank you.

This is exactly why I became a TPM member this year. I’ve been a reader from the beginning and I’m glad I am finally in a (non-graduate student) position where I can finally support the vital work of independent journalism that you and your team do. Thank you.

bad plan.

I can think of an electorate and an entire wing of "public servants" who mange to enable this every single god damned day. Increasingly difficult to extend to them any sort of moral pass. The brutaility is that Trump is nothing without his supporters -- unctuous deplorables of comparable caliber.

Have we, in editorials and public lamentations, tried lying to ourselves and others with increasing urgency "this is not who we are" yet? Even unctuous, historically delusional finger-waving conservative "centrists" sound appropriately cynical now.

Just god awful even before the presidential input.

It’s a great experience. Enjoy.

And other things are happening.

It is really cute how any ever imagined the most corrupt supreme court would cut any other way.

Political bedrock is around 34 points. Nothing but nothing will move republicans and maga. Ever.
