After a request from the artist Jascha Müller, I got to work on building a spraycan gondola for my wall painting robot.

Read more about the build and the very first test run in my latest blogpost olivier.berlin/dot-bot-spra...

I wrote a blogpost about my Electronic Kalimba project. It is a 15 minute read but filled with lots of pictures 😄

A short video about my #opensource Electronic Kalimba project. With each iteration, the instrument gets more refined and I love the way it plays.

I got offered a location for some #robotic spray painting #experiments, and I am currently building a new painting gondola for my existing (custom) #drawing robot that can then also carry a #spraycan. The first pieces are coming together nicely and I am stoked to see if this works #arduino #maker

Here is a short timelapse of my cleaning robot Benjamin showing him randomly bumping around and cleaning my floor in the process. Just for fun, I let ChatGPT write all the code 😁

I designed and built a simple cleaning robot, that can push a dust cloth (Swiffer) autonomusly through my appartment. It is powered by an #ESP8266 and only used components I had laying around. olivier.berlin/the-cleaning...

Today, I played a bit around with a motion detection software on my iPhone, and I managed to capture some really cool pictures of crows. Here is one of my favorite, of a crow holding a nut in its beak. #Berlin #TvTower #Crow #Nut #Nature #Photography

I just designed an optional and alternative layout for my #opensource #esp32 Electronic Kalimba project. Since the lower PCB contains all of the electronics, the upper PCB can be replaced in seconds to a different layout. A keyboard arrangement was the most requested layout so far 🎹🎹 😁 #maker #kicad

I recently designed rings, and had some of them casted in stirling silver in a lost wax process casting by sculpteo.com. It is crazy that we live in a world where you design something in Blender, pay a few bucks and then get it delivered in the mail.

Today I worked on the nodejs websocket server that the Electronic Kalimba can connect to, to send its keystrokes as Midi over WiFi. I must say the delay is pretty usable!

Here is a WIP of my latest project, my E. Kalimba V3.0. It is a sandwich of two custom (hand solderable) PCBs, with 80 tactile buttons and lots of other stuff going on. Powered by an ESP32 controller, dual analog wave generators, battery powered, programmed with Arduino and everything open source.
