Maker of WACUP plugins or something. WACUP is better than Winamp in every way (but I am not developing it!)
this, and it's possible that the metadata is being cached in winamp (might more so apply to wacup, but i dont fully know what winamp is doing) so you'd have to tell the local library to rescan your files to update the metadata within the database

i mean that "modern day version of winamp" (wacup) isn't stuffed with things no one needs... like "NFT support"...

unless all you need is winamp playing your mp3s then sure i guess it Does The Job

still, though, you can grab a copy of 5.666 or give wacup a shot, which is a winamp-like player with plugin and skin compatibility

i wasnt even making fun of you lol i was just pointing out the shit llama group added to winamp, which, even if they were still working on it (they're not), they wouldnt remove any of it

they did up until the "open sourcing", its been radio silent ever since

it does, it just doesnt come with the demo tune anymore (due to not wanting to be "associated" with winamp, among other reasons that i dont know/cant remember atm)

i'm a simple man, i see wacup, i press like

tiny correction: wacup isnt a fork but more so a reimplementation of winamp 5.666's plugin API, which expands and fixes it in places

post-AOL winamp more or less went through this, i wasnt exactly "there" during the AOL era but i always got the impression it was still usable even if it came with modern skins by default
