Not that thinking "damn I'm gonna die in like, 3 months" is any better but, I guess it doesnt take as much brain power and its more of a powerless inevitable than a "please let me love you again I'm sorry" plea.

Look I may wake up at 4am but I don't start functioning until like 11am then you expect me to haul my ass to some store and go "I want to switch and I want this plan in specific do not try to upsell me on anything" before 3pm or else my port out request gets processed after 48 hours and ughhhh
