I do cybersecurity for a living. In my spare time I tinker with electronics, radio, and various computer things. I use Arch by the way.

📝These posts are primarily cross-posts from my Infosec.Exchange mastodon account.

The same house from indoors.
Door-to-door warrantless ICE raids are going on now in Minnesota with children in the home. ICE goons with automatic weapons enter, one shined a taser light into the camera to block the mother from videoing ICE searching the home and detaining the occupant.

The foundation could be solid and the kernel even more so, but I feel it's evolution is hobbled by Microsoft's greed.

Just look at Windows 11. Windows 10 was stable, predictable, usable. Windows 11 is a backslide. [3/3]

This is the last post of this thread, so "🧵6/6" and all that. The case I was in the pool for was a child sexual abuse case. I think we got through 2/3 of the process, the first being the Judge asking questions of the pool, and then the Prosecution. [1/7]

Harris County Texas residents. If you get called up on a Friday there’s a good chance you’ll be sitting all day in a criminal courtroom answering questions as a group of potential jurors.

That’s all I can say. Have fun with this information.

I know Jury duty is a normal occurrance at least in the US but my ADHD brain makes it fascinating nonetheless.

Yup. No WireGuard, No Proton, no Nord. Phooey. My go to was VPN to my home server but no dice. Oh well. Sounds like a project is in my future.

The public WiFi here at this juror area seems to be VPN averse and my cell phone has no signal, meaning end user security is automatically compromised. Also, do I trust government run WiFi?

No. So keeping it limited to a few sites while I look to see if I can get VPN to work. Maybe.
