Aber toll ist die Konsole natürlich dennoch nicht. Hardware-Bugs, ein unergonomischer Controller und viele Spiele, die jeden Feinschliff vermissen lassen.

Yes, nice to see these are officially available in Europe at all after the 3 retro figures from last year were Walmart exclusives in the US.
I just ordered from coolshop. They only had the diorama and the Sonic 2 and 3 ones though.

I also prefer the European MD branding personally. Not neccessarily because of the name but the logo just looks a lot more elegant and stylish.

Where are those figures and the display from? I am aware of the 3 figures from a few years ago with Axel from SoR, but Mr X and Death Bringer?

Yeah, I am not aware of any system holder forbidding a technical style for a game so I imagine this may be a bit of frustration and guessing from the dev.
I can understand it too because it looks impressive.
It was probably just the time, others didn’t find publishers either with the DS not far.

So Nintendo was in talks to publish at some point? I mean if they were looking for another publisher I don’t see how Nintendo could and would halt the project.

Tut mir irgendwie immer leid, dass die CE so verramscht wird. Ist wirklich ein exzellentes Spiel, auch auf Konsole, muss aber wirklich gefloppt sein.

But… they must have been aware of this other company existing when they bought the rights. They must have been aware there was still another claim to the name.
From the viewpoint of that other Commodore it’s understandable that they don‘t want someone else using the name.

I never knew his name but I certainly know his face from various shows over the decades. Sadly the first thing that always comes to my mind is his guest role on the Cosby Show. Probably not the best moment in hindsight. ^^

The Oliver twins probably don’t care about gaming anymore and go the pragmatic route. It‘s easy money, and people will eventually accept it so better get into the AI slop while they still can.
It’s sad but I bet they are just sure this is an easy way to add to their fortunes.

People have come to treat art and entertainment like fast food. There is no respect for art. Be it a comic book, a movie or a video game… the AI made results are „good enough“ at a glance from an audience losing its ability to focus on anything for more than a few seconds anyway.

I‘m afraid the onslaught of AI in all aspects of life is unstoppable, much like digital goods at the mercy of corporations instead of actual ownership of consumers were.
In the end too many consumers will be fine with it. People get used to it and won’t mind.
It‘s sad but I feel it’s hopeless.

After the Last Ninja issues where they considered removing LN3 because of a screen and I assume the inability to just hack the ROM I‘m not so sure there is much to celebrate about System 3. It’s probably just an empty shell by now, used to make quick cash from nostalgia with no effort.

Obviously a Nobel prize won this year must be for research that was only done this year and only thanks to him. That’s just how quick things work under a very stable genius‘ rule. 🙄

Am häufigsten wahrscheinlich Street Fighter II SCE. Das habe ich von 1993 bis 1995 ständig gezockt.
Aber mehr MD spezifisch, und besonders für die Konsole… Revenge of Shinobi, Sonic, Streets of Rage 2 und Landstalker. Großartige Games.

Trage sie selbst nur noch in solchen Situationen, weil das regelmäßige Maskentragen gegen die Verbreitung kaum Sinn macht, wenns sonst keiner tut und man am Ende noch angepöbelt wird.
Daher habe ich zwar immer eine neue FFP2 dabei, packe sie aber nur aus wenns voll ist oder ich mich krank fühle.

Weil die Pandemie für beendet erklärt wurde und das in den Köpfen der meisten Menschen damit gegessen ist. Schlimmer noch: sehr viele halten die Masken inzwischen generell für einen Irrweg.
