Too many books, not enough time!

Reading and relaxing in Liverpool, Tokyo or elsewhere.

Books, travel and more: http://10mh.net
Exactly and I don't think many people are thinking about how this factors into the choices being made by players who we might wanna sign in the future.

If you'd seen the treatment of Trent and now Mo, would you be in a hurry to play in front of us?

Was in the post office today. The entire queue of people was walking up to the counter, asking for however many stamps they needed, going 'How much?' and leaving shaking their heads
Never thought I'd see the national mail service doing its best to k1ll off the tradition of sending Chrimbo cards

Surely that means we take him back til the end of the season. Even if he only gets a few games he's a good option to have and it's better for him than the zero games he's gonna get at Villa.

This is very true, I've actually bought these as a gift for myself 😉❤️

Oh sure, if people wanna win themselves a Darwin Award, who are any of us to stop them

Yeah, enough now.

Anyway, Rob, read any good books lately?

He was all over the back pages. They were doing stuff on Sky Sports about Liverpool's goal crisis talking about him. Carra's had plenty to say.
I thought giving him a rest would help if it was done as a protective measure, but it's clear that wasn't the motivation behind the scenes.

Not Mo's fault the pace of the team has slowed so that everyone can get 7 defenders back by the time he makes it to their box. Not Mo's fault the backroom geniuses spent big and only realised we needed defenders two days before the window shut. But he is the one getting dragged by the media.

Genuinely heartbroken by how fast some people have turned on him.

I don't think he said what you're saying he did. He says he's not bigger and he says he's not having a go at his teammates from the bench. But he does say he's earned a certain position within the club where he should be protected and he's right. They have thrown him under the bus this season.

There's a lot of reading between the lines going on.
That's not what you get from the full interview at all. He's at pains to say how much he respects the other players but is mystified at the situation.

I think he's earnt the right to speak out.
I've seen him pushed to the ground this season, no foul given. I've seen him with three defenders on him at all times and no Liverpool player in support. And all the blame on his shoulders. Anyone would be fuming.

Or you could see it more as someone who came back ready to bring the same intensity he always does, has been asked to play a different role, is trying to do that and then getting blamed because the goals aren't coming like they did last season.

This really resonated with me, have been having a similar year (except haven't managed to write at all so thanks for the nudge to get onto that in 2026)
