I liked the looks and the customer service (Mercedes). It was a bit plasticky inside but it was well screwed togetherIt had the 150bhp VAG 2.0l TD drivetrain so no worries about that either. I really enjoyed the three years I had it but they then pulled out of the UK so that was the end of that.

That was the height of the grey import saga. In 2000 I bought a new Renault Kangoo from my nearest dealer in the Republic of Ireland, imported it into Northern Ireland and had it taxed sitting on my drive for £6950 all in. Kept it for 7 years then got £1500 on a trade in on a Dodge Caliber 😁
