I'm a UX designer/front end dev combo. The coding work I've tried has had great results. The AI UX designs or illustrations I've tried have been poor and not production-quality. I think that's a big part of it, the AIs are much better at coding at a professional level.

I continue to believe David Ellison has no idea what he’s doing. Whatever propaganda machine he thinks he’s building is not going to happen. He’s only going to drive CBS right off a cliff.

It feels like an avenue for corporate-sanctioned fan art, and bringing that ability to the masses? I have to think there are incredibly locked down restrictions on what the characters can and can’t do, and that they might get more aggressive on usage outside this channel.

I'm directly in the middle. It's not vaporware like metaverse or crypto, but I do think it's way overhyped. The really good use cases all seem like boring behind-the-scenes type stuff (that you can't slap ads on).

I do agree with the ad people, if they wrote the ad and came up with the silly scenarios, it is THEIR ad. They made a production decision to use AI to generate the imagery instead of filming it.

I think it's Netflix. I think I'm just not convinced these guys really know what they're doing, and that Sarandos has played this out more than they think. Also, not convinced they're going to turn CBS/Paramount into whatever propaganda tool they think they will, rather than just ruin it.

There's a real chance the Ellisons (and especially the kid) don't know what they've gotten themselves into, while Ted Sarandos is an actual pro who will run circles around them on all this.
