You couldn't do us in the UK a favour and put Tommy 10 names into Guantanamo please. Get Trump to abduct him in the middle of the night along with his political friends

Thank you in advance

All sentences in future should be a minimum sentence ie with good behaviour that's your release date & for non-minor offences there's no latest date for them to be released from prison - potentially a violent prisoner who doesn't behave ends up being imprisoned for life

Magistrates are only truth finders & their default position is to jail a guilty person for 6 months. If a judge is in charge they can scrap the default sentence & the judge can sentence the person appropriately

Personally I'd scrap magistrates courts & have judges preside over them for those who have minor offences & for those not wanting a trial (pleading guilty) but those who want a jury trial, have all the preliminary stuff done in the lower court then hand over to the crown court for jury trial itself

Unfortunately I'm working today (normally Mondays & Fridays) with yesterday being Boxing Day, work patterns have shifted but returning to normal next Friday
December 27, 2025 at 8:23 AM
Scrap Magistrates courts altogether. Have judge only courts to hear cases initially - receive a plea from the defence, read through all the evidence & give a likely verdict & sentence. Adjourn for a few days for defence to review & decide whether to accept with/without reports or opt for jury trial

It's a center-right think-tank, so does it have any actual evidence or are they trying to discredit Labour?

Same for the World Service - transmission costs should be covered by a foreign office grant (content BBC's costs to cover)
December 16, 2025 at 11:06 AM
I think Ofcom should be given responsibility for Freeview's transmitters as well as Freesat's ground station & Cable's TV's PSB plus others (voluntary basis) distributor to the cable companies (channel bundling etc) & Freely - like what the IBA did back in the day - paid for by general taxation

Personally I'd say there should be 30 rounds & 3 drivers per team & 50% more pit stop crew - each driver & each half crew only does 20 rounds

Now that would spice things up and bring more drivers into F1
December 16, 2025 at 9:25 AM
Yeah but that sort of setting is not what the High Court ruling was meant for

They know Lando Norris is the F1 World Champion, after a hard final race of the season in Abu Dhabi
