Reports at the time claimed the footage was destroyed before anyone could see it. Within hours, Mulder was admitted to a psychiatric hospital in Paris and stayed for months. Her career was over.Years later, the men connected to her allegations faced serious consequences. Jean Luc Brunel, a close associate of Jeffrey Epstein, was arrested in France in 2020 and died in custody in 2022 while awaiting trial on trafficking charges. Gerald Marie, another executive Mulder had referenced, was later accused by at least fifteen women of assault and abuse following a BBC investigation into his conduct.Karen Mulder said it all in 2001 and the world only started listening twenty years too late.
