My vet has a baggie of tinsel (clean) that was surgically removed from a cat’s bowels as a teaching tool. It doesn’t take much to cause a blockage.

My teenager said that the show didn’t scare her so I had her put that episode on. She now knows better than to make fun of how the Tooms episode had me messed up when it came out.

The Gen X employees who are too young to retire and too old (because 🤬 ageism) to start over are going to be swearing the whole way through the next few years.

I have one teenager in the house. I can’t imagine trying to feed and clothe two more. Checking SNAP income table… and I *still* wouldn’t qualify for benefits.

The acreage/sq miles/sq km of state of Oregon is slightly larger than the UK. Tiny fraction of the population (because most of the population lives in a tiny ribbon along the I-5 corridor). It took me most of a day to go from the west side of the state to Idaho.

Facepalm. Centralizing stuff does not help the folks who have technology issues or need the actual face-to-face interaction to effectively communicate the issue/solution to whatever issue.

Can’t remember if it was up or downstream from the campground but there was an elk carcass in spot where downed logs made a strainer in the river - clear, cold water but don’t look at it with a microscope.

A place I worked at did big potlucks (invite the retirees) at Thanksgiving. There’d be multiple turkeys: smoked, BBQ, deep-fried… not standard family style turkey and soooo good

I can’t remember exactly when I left (after it was X) but posting anything thing made me nervous - like setting off the same warning bells from a former abusive relationship.

Not at a FO but working the OT because we’re that understaffed & pay has not kept up with inflation (before this year) but I already hate taking leave because how back logged I’ll be when I get back.

Taxes and all that look ok - there’s an adjustment for the prior 2 pay periods & this one. I got my match for TSP (was concerned about that). I’ll take these clerical errors over debt collection that I’ve been hearing from DOD employees.
