Do you think it's realistic that 909 voters voted for Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and two voters chose to vote for Kamala Harris in Rockland County NY district 55?

But that's what the election results say.

This reminds me of when I lived in China and used their sterilized version of the internet. You had to use a proxy or VPN to see beyond the great firewall ... I wonder if our government will start to slow internet speeds like they did if civil unrest starts to heat up...

I've always been a fan of in-house brands, but the quality has become noticeably worse for many products when they used to be equivalent, if not better than the brand name 😔

Back in the day when search engines used Boolean search this would be true, but not enough people know what a Boolean search is or how to use it, so many major search engines have stripped away Boolean functions over time.

News isn't news anymore. It's just panhandling.

Woof - you sure did bring a lot to unpack. What a mess.

I'll just refer back to my last post that you seem to have conveniently brushed past: bsky.app/profile/1drl...

Good luck with understanding the differences between economics and politics.
In conclusion, economic and political systems are not the same thing, but you can't have one without the other, and there is a large spectrum of combinations with no one combination being exclusively one of each.

Precisely☝🏼

This is the kind of thing that's going to happen if you implement bandaid "solutions" and don't address the underlying issue. And let's be honest, this was never about national security, or steps would be taken to protect Americans' info against all entities, not just foreign ones.

The US is a capitalist fed rep w/ democracy, but we also have econ aspects of socialism, & sadly we're becoming more oligarchic. No developed country can truly exist w/out socialism. If you want roads, schools, libraries, emergency responders, etc, you need some level of socialism or communism.

Sweden is a constitutional monarchy with strong socialist policies, but they are also a parliamentary democracy. Their economic system is a mix of socialism, welfare, capitalism, etc.
January 17, 2025 at 2:59 PM
That doesn't make me wrong. The conditions under which each econ & political sys can truly exist doesn't make them any less one or the other. Furthermore, no country's econ or political sys can truly exclusively be one type, so you could have socialism under a monarchy. For example: Sweden.

I feel like I frequently hearing that retail sales have been strong all throughout this period of inflation and that consumers aren't letting up, but have they really not? Are they actually still filling up their carts, or are they just being forced to pay more for less?

Wasn't sure which Trump flunky you were talking about for sure until I reached "...nematode in his brain..." 🤣

It's crazy how much crazy shit so many of them have in common.

P.s. Apologies to my fellow Army Veterans who have ever been held hostage during what should have been personal-time for "Resiliency Training." Your sacrifice was most likely in vein 🫡

Biden was right to step aside, but it was by no means because his Presidency was a failure. Sadly people did not have enough opportunity 2 👁️ his successes, & will likely not fully understand the fruits of his labor until he is gone. It's down 2 the wire, and he is still fighting 4 this country.

While not unjustified, so much effort was put into fear mongering about Trump that we most likely created the spotlight that led him to victory, and these garbage cabinet nominees. Without losing sight of the truth, we also need to remember to "hunt the good stuff."
January 16, 2025 at 2:54 PM
No 1 believes he thinks ♀️ should serve in combat roles. At the very least, anyone who is illusioned enough 2 would do everything in their pwr 2 hide remain so. Not that we shouldn't hunt the truth, but this strategy of pointing out every little obvious right wing extremist lie hasn't been working.

Not that people don't confuse Socialism and Communism, but the key misunderstanding isn't their differences but their commonality. They are economic systems, not political systems. While political and economic systems are not mutually exclusive, they are not the same thing.
