Was looking into hex tile stuff and found some screenshots of the first version of battle for wesnoth (0.1). It has had quite the glowup over the years.

With the rumoured cancellation of Project GG, makes me sad that we don't get many Kaiju games. It is a challenging genre to make things it, but it feels ripe for a wide range of genres. I would love to see a Horror game or survival game where you go from hunted to hunter. We need more big Monster!

I have been playing a few steam next fest demo's as of late. Here are some thoughts on Ruffy and the Riverside
+ Controls are tight and feel good
+ The gimmick is fun and implemented well
+ I like the characters and vibe, very banjo
+ they pulled of the unique art style well, looks good!

'Diesel Legacy The Brazen Age' looks like a pretty novel take on a 4 player fighting game. I like that it has a focus on 2v2 and is across 3 lanes. All the characters are animated well and play into the lane gimmick in interesting ways. I hope it does well.

This is my first game to see the light of day (many lay dead in the shadows). Its just a flappy bird clone, but I am still proud of this as it was outside tutorial hell. Godot export to HTML5 was mint, didn't have to make any changes for the export.

What would you want in a platform fighting game like smash? While I play all platform fighters I can get my grubby hands on (send me them if I haven't), most just stick to smash. I wonder what it would take for a game to stand out or peak the interest of players?

Steam really needs a 'Platform Fighter' tag. I know its a small genre outside of the giants, but I think it will help the genre grow. There are quite a few indies out there doing cool stuff, but discoverability remains low.
