The Phillies tend to turn things around when we all abandon hope. So they’ll probably win tonight.

Maybe some karma points from the fanbase could tip the scales?

Welp, if Philly sports teams do nothing else, they will push their fanbase to hopelessness.

Might as well use your hopelessness to combat homelessness

Bryce Harper: “Yeah I got an incredible wife man, she pushed that thing out in three pushes and 30 seconds . . . Women man, what a breed.”

Bryce Harper: “If [teammates] believe that, I don’t know what’s going through their heads . . . We got some of the best fans in baseball.”

Maybe not technically “wrong.” Yes, it definitely got tense in the ballpark while the team got no-hit for 5 innings.

But to point fingers at anyone other than yourself in this scenario is crazy. You don’t blame teammates or coaches and you *especially* don’t blame fans.

Calling out the fans after that Phillies performance is an interesting choice.
"When everything's going good and you're rolling it's a [pain] to play here when you're an opposing team because the environment is amazing," Castellanos said. "But if we run into adversity and the tide shifts and now we're playing more tight because we don't want to be reprimanded for something bad."

Great breakdown here by Jimmy Rollins.

Thomson says the Dodgers “did a great job disguising the wheel play.” But they showed it on the previous pitch and Stott said he knew the wheel play was on. Unclear if Castellanos knew.

Nevermind. All this did was make it worse.

3-0 Dodgers. Feels like the end of this game, this series, and maybe even this era of Phillies baseball.
