Today's TTM return is from former outfielder Bill North who played 11 years for the Cubs, A's, Dodgers and Giants. He was a key member of the 1974 World Champion Oakland A's and was also a 2x AL stolen base leader, topping out at 75 swipes in 1976. #TTM #TTMSuccess #Cardsky

I wasn't sure if I had it in me either but I did go up. It probably helped that we stayed above the festival grounds with many other balloons and didn't go super high up. I found the chase crew job to be a lot of fun too.

According to Kodak, it's the most photographed event in the world and who am I to argue with them? Did you go up in a balloon?

Nice! My late uncle was on the festivals board of directors for decades. I went there in 03 and had the time of my life. Got behind the scenes looks at everything. Every year he'd send me a winter jacket for Xmas with the festival logo on the back. Still wear several of those

Are you at the Albuquerque Ballon fest?

Love those unexpected super long returns. Sadly, I don't have great record keeping skills with my TTMs to know how long they've been out though. I do it on paper which I inevitably lose

Watching Eli Manning in Jersey Mike's commercials has me wondering how someone with no charisma whatsoever keeps getting offers to do commercials.
20thbaseball.bsky.social
The only downside to the MLB playoffs is a near constant stream of horrible commercials played constantly. The Walmart one with the re-worded "Who Are You" song is particularly egregious. Bottom of the barrel, minimum effort marketing slop.

This made my day! I played the flimsy plastic 45 straight outta the book to death

It will totally be a little weird! I'm sure there will be a video tribute or something to that effect from the guys too.

Today's TTM return is from former pitcher John Hiller who played 15 years, all for the Tigers. He suffered a heart attack in 1971, only to become one of the best relievers of the 70s,setting the single season save record in 1973 and finishing 4th in the AL Cy young vote. #TTM #TTMSuccess #Cardsky
