Yea I think you can do it! You just have to remove the Spicket or whatever the base is connected to the wall, and the valve should be behind there. The only thing for mine was, the valve was behind tile so someone had to saw away the tile.

So this happened to me. The plumber had to go behind that spout and turn the knob to increase the hot water.
