Here we got to begin experimenting with incorporating source material into the murals, though admittedly, neither I nor Icarus has much experience with FF8. Still, you can see we pulled his outfit and Rinoa directly from that game!

Day 2: Riku! This one almost didn't happen, since his initial fight on Destiny Islands isn't STRICTLY a boss fight, but given the parallels to the late-game fights that ARE, I decided last minute that this one deserved the same gravitas, and I'm extremely glad I did!

Why does it matter if a number is odd or even? I remember this being a whole math “unit” in first grade with a book about Even Steven and Odd Todd and a test, but I’ve been wracking my brain trying to think of something we “need* those categories for and I’m at a loss.

Just wrapped up my first ever convention experience. PAX East was an incredible time, the sort of place where even introverts feel free to strike up a conversation. I don’t know for sure if I’ll be back next year, but I definitely wanna try out some other cons in the future, this was just too fun!

I was really excited for Second Wind when it kicked off, but ironically, despite its “Creator-lead” approach, the longer it’s gone on, the more corporate it feels.
I was also a Patron for a month and man does their approach to quantity over quality really crowd up your notifications.

I’d been of the opinion that genAI was fast food. A cheap and convenient alternative to the high-quality stuff most everyone prefers anyway.
As I’ve seen its influence spread, especially in the school system, I have come to a new conclusion:
GenAI is cigarettes.

Maybe a little gate keypey, but I don’t think people should be allowed to refer to reheating, air-frying, toasting, or microwaving as “Cooking.” Cooking means you got your spices out and at the very least sliced some shit up, if you only opened one container, I’m sorry, you didn’t cook.

Sometimes I sit back and marvel at the fact that Gamefreak managed to sneak a 4th Fire Fighting starter past us and NO ONE called them on it.
