Something I’ve not seen a lot of related to the Eflin signing is it allows Wells to move to the BP. I think that, if he stays healthy, he’s a significant upgrade there.

A healthy (I know I laughed too) TON is a valuable bat. Somebody might see value there. They would get waaay less for him or Mayo, but getting something, even prospects to top of the system, is POSSIBLE. I agree, it’s a reach, but some hope might happen.

Why is wishing for that delusional? I didn’t say I expect it to happen, but that contract felt like a reach the day it was signed. It would be some Houdini shit if Elias could pull it off.

Colts/Ravens/Broncos? Anybody that can run the ball. A healthy Benford feels like the key to the whole thing. Not super worried about any of the QBs left picking them apart through the air if they are healthy. Run game…different story.

Yeah I kinda wondered if they were working on something else involving Mayo or if value has tanked. I find it hard to believe the later with such a small MLB sample, but they are at least heading toward a Kjerstad 2.0 situation which would be really unfortunate.

You’d also have to assume Elias is going to have or get as much insider info as anybody on him. So if he/they think whatever “baggage” is minimal or worth it I guess I’d trust it. And on paper he is most proven. Just can’t get past the tingling Spidey Sense.
