I wish journalism was more supported by subscribers so that it didn’t die completely, instead of people pissing they can’t have work for free.

Nasty. A lot of non-profits, including public service media, are trying to stay alive. The tax laws are changing Jan 1, better for some but not for all. Budget calendars might close, short. Your privilege is showing.

I’m concerned about the journalistic quality of this “article”, it feels like a straight press release, no independent expert analysis of viability or climate impact; reporter seems to not know what a rare earth actually is. Non-profit journalism requires higher standard for public trust.
