I think a few years back when gen zers said they have 70-90s nostalgia despite not being from the time might have watched VHS/old cds in the early 2000s form schools/home. A lot of family still had memorabilia from back then to the 2000-10s also. Even 2000s content had inspo from earlier gens still

I think for the shining that with the last scene (photo) after the guy died means that hes finally one with the "family" (the hotel) after his biological has left. After they died, he was next, becoming one of them. The aesthetic of tue oldie look matching because of his merging during the movie
