This serves more as a #vent #drawing because I have been having a rough time in this new place I am living since it is very out-of-the-way. I haven't been able to go out with friends or even go shopping on my own, so the #isolation is very bothersome for me.

DAY 23, Smoking. I always love the 1920s flapper aesthetic, and I find it to be very charming.
I didn't want to get too risque with the work, but I do debate on whether or not to try my hand at more explicit imagery. Maybe later this year? I have done body horror, so why not some tasteful nudity?

I wanted to #draw a #modeltrain because originally it was going to be something real artsy and creative but then I thought about it and said 'nah'. The perspective for the further back train bits are wonky, but I was pooped after all the work from the last 2 days of #drawing.

Day 20 - #nautical, and believe me - the full image is a BIG ONE.
I don't like being out on the water, no matter the body of #water it is - being on a #boat, a raft, a floatie, or sometimes even just treading water if its not a pool or jacuzzi.
No idea what it is. Regardless, enjoy the #drawing.

A #self-portrait, seeing how I view myself via a drawing compared to how I actually am. Originally I was using the camera app as a mirror of sorts while working on this instead of actually working off of a set picture, hence some indiscrepancies.

Looking up reference material and paying particular attention to things can show you some unexpected aspects on your subject matter. Like how the big schnoz for the Hercules Beetle is actually more of a helmet and the BOTTOM thingy is closer to its nose. Still big, but less.

I was unsure how to approach this, because looking at examples of people and animals who were emaciated really irked me. I went with a malnourished plant instead. I think this is a kalachoe/widow's thrill?

Was inspired to do the Russian Folklore of Baba Yaga for my direction today. I figured a nice pic of "giant house with bird legs about to crush you" would be a lovely little change of pace from yesterday's ... not so stellar performance.

I fear ghosts above all else, because it always raises the question of what awaits us when we pass on. How does one become a ghost? Is that all there is? Is even that not guaranteed?
The greatest irony of this being that I do not personally believe in ghosts or an afterlife.

An American twist on one of my favorite jokes, this was an experiment in color selection and layering, though towards the end with the plate I just got pretty lazy with it.
