In 1965 John Lennon bought a house -Harbour's Edge- for his Aunt Mimi, Mary Elizabeth "Mimi" Smith, at 126 Panorama Road on the Sandbanks peninsula in Poole, Dorset, England. Mimi lived there until her death in 1991.
