Well, they were all kinda poached along with Comolli by my recollection, albeit not all at once. The bigger club came in and took them off us like so many other great teammates on the pitch and off. Our mistake was not trying to recreate it after because Harry was rolling sevens after they left imho

Aye, and his book details how it got from the caves to today quite well. Clubs are using spatial data, skeletal data and other things, along with big data (because it's just a ton of data!), to go far deeper into things the on-ball data we play around with can't.

They're great but we also have to recognize the stuff we have access to in the public realm has been described as the "cave paintings" of data by Ian Graham and others and we need to take that into account relative to what our clubs are using for recruitment and analysis.
