i was writing music in ableton when i started noticing non-diatonic notes in an unexpected timbre and was like what the *heck* is even going on, and then i realized the ice cream truck was driving by outside

little MIDI is back from the vet and is ok!

he has a couple minor boo-boos but nothing serious

we're gonna keep him inside for a couple days, give him an antibiotic for a week and just keep an eye on him

i cried a bunch cause it's hard to watch suffering and feel like you can't do much to help, but he's sitting on me now taking a nap, so i'm glad he's warm and getting some rest and isn't all by himself feeling yucky

little MIDI got in a brief kitty fight with his rival yesterday (i broke it up), and he seemed fine at first but it's become apparent that he has a small owie on his leg :c

i'll call the vet when they open mister cat, they'll help you feel better <3

this morning i gave myself the creative constraint of writing a song using only ableton stock instruments

i found a pleasingly obnoxious and silly bass and lead, and it was fun to try to make something pretty with goofball sounds

phew, switching renderers fixed it

it's kinda crunchy-looking on my handheld, but i don't mind. it's nice to have a machine that can run it at all, considering that my laptop can barely run starvaders

(which is fine, since i use it for music, not gaming)

i'm determined to troubleshoot the crashing issue though, cause although i'm feeling better than yesterday, i still am pretty thoroughly wiped from the vaccines, and i need something to do while i rest

thank goodness i feel well enough to do something besides curl up in bed all day now

i've never played d&d or any other ttrpg, but i'm trying out baldur's gate 3. i like it so far, but it crashes when i try to name my character, which is...not ideal

but as for my character, she's a high elf cleric of [moon goddess whose name i don't remember] with a specialization in nature magic

i slept for like 11 hours (with periodic interruptions from MIDI, who demanded pets) and finally feel halfway like a person again

i guess i'm just like a super taster but for covid vaccines lol

i think this is probably the toughest covid vaccine yet for me, blergh

worth it though to reduce the chances of having to isolate and get supreme ultimate cabin fever
