Well, since Character Options' Ainley Master figure is officially out today, I've pulled the version that was on www.3dprintingdoctorwho.com/050.html

As always, if you downloaded a copy while the template was available, please do not repost the files or share it with anyone else.

I've created a poll over on Facebook to let people pick my next figure (out of the seven options I already have partially started).
Voting ends September 30th at midnight.

Finally got around to creating an Uninfected Noah head for Figure 037 - Wirrn-Infected Noah.
It's now included as part of the zip file on www.3dprintingdoctorwho.com/037.html

And now for something completely different... I've decided to rerelease one of my older figures that I previously pulled from the line-up (with some minor modifications.)
You can download the Newbery Season 14 TARDIS again here:

Figure 050 - The Master (Ainley)
Now available for free download for non-commercial use at
www.3dprintingdoctorwho.com/050.html

Figure 050 is coming along quite Masterfully... but I'm having a devil of a time with the hands.

I don't want to give him boring old kung-fu grip hands if I can find something in the "holding a flashlight/lightsaber/two-pound black-ribbed knobbler" pose that can accommodate his TCE accessory.

I wanted to do something extra special for Figure 050, so I asked myself: What figure would most fans be over the moon to finally add to their collection? There was really only one option.
Two days in, and the velvet suit Ainley Master is looking quite dastardly!

Figure 049 - Nyssa of Traken, now available at:
www.3dprintingdoctorwho.com/049.html
As always, this figure is completely free to download and print at home for non-commercial use.
June 2, 2025 at 3:29 AM
Figure 049 - Nyssa is now fully parted out for articulation, but I'm going to take another day or two to mess around with the head to see if I can dial in the face any closer. I might end up throwing in a few alternate takes depending on what expressions I end up with.
May 19, 2025 at 8:48 AM
I'd say my Nyssa sculpt is about as good as I can get it. If somebody else who's better at faces wants to take a stab at working on their own head, I'm open to collaboration. Otherwise, it's on to final articulation.

Here's a fun infographic I put together identifying all the 3D printers used to produce the current 2025 season of Doctor Who. It wasn't that difficult since I own two of the three models myself.

It's time for the annual April Fools Day figure!! Gird your loins for 048 - The Ogron Eater (as seen in approximately 10 seconds of Frontier in Space) www.3dprintingdoctorwho.com/048.html

Final teaser for this year's April Fools Day figure. IYKYK.

I completed this model in one day... Then I spent another two weeks tinkering with it and fully articulating two additional pieces (which required building a whole new internal structure) just so it could do something stupid. 😅
March 24, 2025 at 3:14 AM
I left myself a calendar reminder to start working on the annual April Fools Day figure at the beginning of March so that I wouldn't be pressed for time and have to scramble at the last minute to get it done. I needn't have bothered, since I finished this one completely in a little over 24 hours.

Figure 047 - The Nucleus of the Swarm is now available for free download on
www.3dprintingdoctorwho.com/047.html
(Paint and assembly instructions coming soon.) The figure is designed with several holes in the mouth and head for inserting monofilament or strands of fiberoptics to make the feelers.

Enjoyed the Christmas special, but one small nitpick.... Since the briefcase made a holographic copy of every single mind it took over, when all the people "saved" in the star-seed collective popped up at the end to wave goodbye, shouldn't the T. Rex have also been included??

A few behind the scenes photos showing some recent figures pre-assembly. With resin printers, it's possible to get quite close to Character Options level articulation, even though the material is much more rigid.
As always all these designs are free on 3DPrintingDoctorWho.com for non-commercial use.

My current WIP is the Nucleus of the Swarm.
He's nearly complete, just needs a teensy bit more body work. This is a tricky one since he's only seen briefly in one episode, and the available photos of the costume aren't that detailed. Plus the costume was already falling apart as they were filming.

In our remix section, Al Dewar shared the original CAD files for a Solonian Mutant figure that never got released, which I've dutifully added full articulation to. You can download the files to print one yourself from: www.3dprintingdoctorwho.com/Remix007.html

As for what's new... I've recently redesigned the Zarbi figure from the ground up. You can download the files to 3D print one yourself, completely free for non-commercial use on www.3dprintingdoctorwho.com/007.html
