word of the wiser: don’t commit self-treason by trying to control the path of others. you take away their power and your own by doing so. all you can do is offer support, and refrain from becoming an addition to their suffering. sympathy is detrimental. empathy is essential.

and it’s not apathy. it’s the biggest feeling of empathy i have ever had. because i truly do get it, but it’s not my weight to bare. all i can give is some light to the dark, and observe the journey of others. i can’t deter my own path to make sure someone else makes it to their own destination.
