i'd actually never heard of hannah poling before. i just figured that since the guy is obsessed with autism, and what he's describing sounds like what he thinks autism is, that was most likely what he was talking about

apparently monarez enlisted his support in pushing back against the pressure she was getting from kennedy, and kennedy got pissy about it. though cassidy did apparently help(?) when called on, he's still showing no outward signs of a conscience as far as i've seen

i'm seriously amazed that nobody in the comments seems to notice that he's talking about autism. the mitochondrial inflammation or whatever is just his belief that autism, like everything else he considers wrong with a person, is caused by bad terrain in the body

among many others: in defense of the first amendment. if the regime wants to stamp out certain kinds of peaceful protest, that in itself is a good reason for those protests. demonstrate that they do not have the power to curtail our freedom of expression

the cost of not doing so is significant (voluntarily curtailing our own rights and policing ourselves for wrongthink), while the benefit is negligible (because of the aforementioned munitions factories)

i'd be more concerned about not giving them fresh ammunition if they weren't sitting on mountains of ammunition constantly being refreshed by their munitions factories

"exactly the same" would imply to me that (1) a significant number of non-obama democrats in the senate already supported it, and (2) obama had one or more conversations with hard-right anti-gay figures and told them that he was aligned with their views. as far as i know, neither is the case.
