Burner account of a hoops junkie.
I think it’s Star Wars in that the most people in the *whole world* are aware it exists, without necessarily having seen it. I see people mentioning Casablanca or Gone with the Wind, and I, a dude from a developing country, have to tell you: not a chance. If not Star Wars then Titanic, or Terminator

Seems to me Darko’s early quarter timeouts are more a reaction to the other team’s play than the Raptors’. He sees what the other team comes out with in the quarter and takes a quick timeout to adjust accordingly.

Thanks Keith! So, in this example, a Butler-for-Beal trade fails because MIA needs to shed $1.4m more. If I add Burks' $2.1m, then it fails because PHO is $700k over incoming allowed (Buttler's salary). BUT adding Burks with the Min Trade Exception matches the $1.4m for MIA and doesn't count for PHO

Oh I had forgotten about the NTC! So it's either a "Trade KD" or "Trade Booker" leak. Jimmy is really a funny dude.
December 12, 2024 at 2:34 PM
The "Jimmy would like to go to Phoenix" leak is the most funny of all. It's basically Jimmy telling the Suns through the press "You guys should trade Beal, I'm better than him".
December 12, 2024 at 2:23 PM
Oh ok, my bad. But Keith, what does "via Min" means? I know "Min" stands for minimum, but what's the CBA rule we're dealing with here? I don't know why the trade fails when I select "-> PHX" but passes when I select "-> PHX via Min", for the same player (say, Alex Burks). Thanks!

I was just coming back from double checking that there’s no way for the Suns to trade for Jimmy Butler without A) Trading Beal, Booker or KD, and B) And still needing a third team to take Beal/Book/KD because Jimmy makes less than them and Miami can’t take back more money. Nobody’s taking Beal

I'm sure the most challenging part of the job for today's top, high-profile basketball trainers is finding --and retaining-- good videographers. These poor guys have to get that sorted before even touching a basketball

What about “shot diet”? Can’t tell whether it’s already overused or they’re just getting started.

Trading Dame is an overlooked possibility of the "Should Bucks trade Giannis?" talk. Before giving up on Giannis, they would first trade Dame, re-stock around Giannis and try one last run. Dame doesn't fit HOU timeline but they have what Bucks need: athletic guard/wing players Green, Eason, Thompson

That looks AI-generated. Do it again, holding a printout of today's NBA standings
November 25, 2024 at 8:24 PM
And needless to say... all these services are already available from the several commercial AI bots. You can get AI-generated book covers, proofreading, whatever you want. For a monthly fee that's nowhere close to the $5000 charged by these dudes. And then you can publish it on Amazon... for free
November 25, 2024 at 4:09 PM
There are ways to self-publish that are a lot cheaper that $5000. And I can already imagine how bad the customer service is going to be, when inevitably the author is not satisfied with the cover, editing, proofreading, and a very long etcetera. Will they have to deal with an AI bot?

Neither did Malone. Credit to him for leaving Russ in for the closing minutes when he’s playing like this. I certainly wasn’t expecting Jamal-Russ-Watson closing lineups when they signed Russ.

So I checked again, and going back to the first 1997 WNBA draft, three No. 1 picks played "only" three years of college: Collier, Young and Lloyd. Three international players didn't play in college: Wauters, Jackson, Dydek. The other 22 No.1 picks played four years of college.
