Anyway, hope you enjoy your day. I’m afraid your blind loyalty to Trump has led us to reduced GDP growth and a weakened job market. I’m sure you will also call the Department of Labor as biased as well. I recommend you go outside and engage with your community.
August 23, 2025 at 3:53 PM
And the White House source you provided isn’t? Okay bro. The articles provide data. If you don’t want to use your compression skills to look at it, that’s on you. What an argument, ‘it’s biased.’ 💀

Yet you avoid an analysis why Cuba is facing these issues. I’m not saying the Cuban government hasn’t made mistakes but to blame it completely on socialism is disingenuous and lacks nuance.

I’m talking about Republicans in power, big dawg. You might support it personally, but the people you vote for do not. I said some corporatist Democrats. My Democratic senator supports raising the cap. Not one Republican supports such a policy.
August 23, 2025 at 3:43 PM
The articles I provided all have sources embedded, you can look at the data yourself.
August 23, 2025 at 3:41 PM
Meanwhile your source is ‘Trust me bro, Trump said it.’
August 23, 2025 at 3:40 PM
This idea that you need the maximum amount of wealth to achieve human dignity and need is a fallacy. Cuba might be in a different situation if the USA wasn’t actively working against the Cuban economy for over 60 years.
August 23, 2025 at 3:38 PM
What Republican supports that dog.
August 23, 2025 at 3:35 PM
Bro wake up. Again, the source you provided is published by the White House. You are just taking Trump’s word without fact checking. He does not support helping people in poverty.

I wonder if the U.S. would have an opportunity if we were a small nation being embargoed by a much larger economy. Makes you think you can’t really compare Cuba to the United States that simply.
August 23, 2025 at 3:23 PM
Per the EPI👇. You should probably not use sources that are going to be pro-Trump no matter what since his team are the ones who publish it.

Social Security only needs borrowing because Republicans and some Democrats refuse to lift the income cap. Right now, someone making $3 million pays the same $168,600 into Social Security as a billionaire. Does that sound fair?

If you really believe that and vote Republican, then you don’t really care about poverty.

Yeah because the right wing is totally on board to provide low cost training to public high schools. Come off it mate.
August 23, 2025 at 3:01 PM
Scarcity is largely due to external constraints, not the system’s worth. Cuba exports doctors despite these challenges. What good is the American system where there is mass homelessness, food insecurity, and poverty wages? You are acting like America is a utopia where everyone’s needs are met.
August 23, 2025 at 2:59 PM
The Social Security example was to provide evidence that the redistribution of wealth isn’t a ‘failure’ as you put it. How would you solve poverty? Cutting taxes for the ultra wealthy?
August 23, 2025 at 2:43 PM
GDP per capita is higher in the U.S. than in Cuba, but Cuba has high literacy rates, universal healthcare, and strong life expectancy comparable to wealthier countries. Development considers resource distribution and meeting basic needs like healthcare and education for all, not just GDP.

The U.S. embargo does indeed influence the goods that Cuba receives from other countries. For instance, if any trading good contains 10% of U.S.-created content, it must undergo U.S. legal procedures before being exported to Cuba.
August 23, 2025 at 2:10 PM
It’s almost like the most powerful economy in the world is refusing to trade with Cuba or something.
