Can’t be doing that
The worst part for me is that the people posting aren’t just some assholes from somewhere else—these assholes live in your neighborhood!

"Visualizers" are just outgrowths of lyric videos, which have always been popular on YouTube and which artists/labels started regularly putting out officially around 10 years ago. Over time they've evolved into their own thing—basically the music video equivalent of "second screen content"

There are like 15 X-Men movies at this point, and Apocalypse is the worst imo. At least when you’re watching will.i.am in a cowboy hat in the first Wolverine movie it’s stupid in a fun way

Every time I hear about 😩 coal miners 😩 I think about this stat
Analysis | The entire coal industry employs fewer people than Arby’s
Coal helps significantly fewer U.S. workers get jobs than Donald Trump would have you believe.

Absolutely. I know there was a big wave of interest in the end times in the 70s as well, and some sects and denominations have always centered it. I don’t mean to say Left Behind introduced this stuff, just that it mainstreamed it to a degree that we’re still living with its effects.

I’d go so far as to say you don’t get Qanon without Left Behind. It primed people to center their faith around signs and prophecies and “spiritual warfare” at the expense of any kind of sound theology

They’re current-day fuel for the fire for sure, but the Left Behind books were arguably the catalyst that made media like GND possible. They were a runaway success, and introduced millions of Evangelicals to end times theology and all the associated culture war BS.

The damage the Left Behind series did to the already-rotted out husk of American Evangelicalism cannot be understated

Matchbox 20 headlining over Geese is a good example of how these festival poster font sizes function as a reality check for me. It's like when you hear that 10x as many people watch Tulsa King as Succession.

I have had enough problems though that I started hedging my bets by rsyncing my iTunes library onto my Plex server, and I have to say I find Plexamp to be a pleasant experience on mobile and desktop for the most part.

I’ve almost never had problems syncing my phone with my plain ol’ iTunes library that I never gave up on, but my dick kicking is in the form of requiring the 512 GB model

Lmao. She got one minor concession out of Apple (royalties being paid during free trial periods) and put all her music back on streaming after some back room discussions. Mission accomplished! Meanwhile, in the real world:
Taylor Swift earns whopping eight figure sum from Spotify royalties
The singer, 35, was the streaming platform's highest earner over the last 12 months - as it paid out a record £7.7billion to artists.

the most appalling part of this political era is the physical harm they are inflicting on innocent people but secondary to that i find the constant smug lectures from this country's biggest collection of hypocrites, scammers, perverts, pedophiles, and overall bozos very distasteful
