Was in DC last week for a conference. Thanked every guard member I saw for their service but let them know I didn’t agree with the reason for their deployment. Every one of them was so nice and so grateful to be acknowledged. Most commented they missed home.

I’m more frustrated that everyone there simply kept doing their job. Why didn’t anyone in the press call him out, turn around, refuse to ask more questions. The press needs to stop fueling the fire.

This is an amazing photo. One for the history books.
